Privacy Policy
How Stournaras LTD collects, uses and protects personal data.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Στουρνάρας Στυλιανός Μονοπρόσωπη ΕΠΕ (Stournaras LTD), a scrap metal recycling and industrial demolition company. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

2. What we collect and why
Contact form. Name, company, email, telephone, the material and rough tonnage you describe, and your message. We use this only to answer your enquiry and quote for the material.
Careers form. Name, telephone, email, the role applied for, your CV file and any message. We use this only to assess your application.
Weighbridge and end-of-life vehicle paperwork. If you deliver material or scrap a vehicle at our facility we record the identification and vehicle documents required by Greek law, and issue the certificate of destruction as an authorised treatment centre (ΕΔΟΕ / ΟΤΚΖ).
Technical data. Our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
3. Legal basis
- Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) — when you submit a form and tick the consent box.
- Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — to quote, buy, collect or process your material.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — waste, end-of-life vehicle, tax and accounting records we are required to keep.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — site security and preventing misuse of our forms.
4. How long we keep it
- Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless they become a commercial relationship.
- Job applications: up to 12 months, then deleted. Tell us if you would rather we delete your CV sooner.
- Transaction, waste and end-of-life vehicle records: for the period Greek law requires (generally 5–10 years).
- Server logs: a short rolling period for security purposes.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only where necessary with our hosting and email providers acting on our instructions, our accountants, and the public authorities and registries we are legally required to report to, including for end-of-life vehicle and waste handling. Where a provider processes data outside the EU, we rely on the safeguards permitted by the GDPR.
6. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to function, and a cookie that remembers your language choice. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off without affecting the site.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing. Where processing is based on consent you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting processing already carried out. Write to info@sstournaras.gr and we will respond within one month.
If you believe we have handled your data improperly you may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (Αρχή Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα), Kifisias 1-3, 115 23 Athens, www.dpa.gr.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and access to submitted data and CVs is limited to the staff who need it. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
9. Children
This site is aimed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page.
