Stournaras Stylianos Single-Member Ltd has spent more than two decades dismantling, demolishing and recycling the hardest metal in the country.
From a scrap yard to one of the largest processors in Greece.
We started in 2000 trading scrap iron. Twenty-five years later we run one of the largest ferrous scrap processing operations in the country, handling over 25,000 tonnes of ferrous and 10,000 tonnes of non-ferrous metal a year.
The work has widened with the yard: industrial and ship demolition, vehicle dismantling, mechanical equipment, cable recycling, and a detinning line that exists nowhere else in Greece. What has not changed is how material is handled, weighed honestly, processed properly, and sent back into the economy instead of into the ground.

2004
Rio-Antirrio bridge
We take care of the removal of debris from the construction of the Rio-Antirrio bridge, and begin working with the Hellenic Telecommunication Corporation (OTE).
2005
DEI and the Hellenic Rail Company
We start working with the Hellenic Power Corporation and the Hellenic Rail Company.
2006
ETMA / Babis Vovos demolition
We are awarded the contract to demolish the ETMA and Babis Vovos buildings in Votanikos, making way for the new Panathinaikos stadium. The same year we join EDOE as an authorised end-of-life vehicle treatment centre.
2007
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
The company is certified for quality and environmental management, certifications it holds to this day.
2010
Motor Oil Hellas
We start working with Motor Oil Hellas, adding refinery maintenance and industrial dismantling to the yard.
2020
The Hellenikon Project
We work on demolitions to make way for The Hellenikon, the largest urban renewal plan in Europe.
2021
ISO 45001 and ISO/IEC 27001
Occupational health and safety, and information security, are certified alongside quality and environment.
2023
BIR member, and solar goes live
Stournaras Ltd becomes a member of the Bureau of International Recycling. On-site solar and storage push the detinning line from carbon-neutral to carbon-positive.
Mobile iron shears
Cutting heavy sections on site, so material leaves ready for the mill.
Magnetic separation
Ferrous pulled out of mixed streams cleanly and at volume.
Cable granulation
Copper and aluminium recovered from insulation with no landfill fraction.
Material handlers
Fuchs handlers, Komatsu excavators and Liebherr shears working the yard.
